Some days you just get rained on, both literally and figuratively. Sometimes, the rain finds it's way through your umbrella, boots, and raincoat, so you put on dry clothes, only to get drenched all over again. Some days, you go to work and find out you've been paying for insurance that you don't actually have for seven months, and then you come home to find out that someone else's boss is determined to cut your all too short 5-day vacation in half at your own expense. But, you smile and nod and act like your're thrilled to be of service [while secretly - and furiously - trying to find your own solution as quickly as possible], because that's just how it's done here.
Sometimes you just get rained on. Or caught in a monsoon.
At least your have cute little rain boots (shoes?) now! It's raining here today, too.
